Product Description

A large and in-charge timepiece, the Invicta Men's 1530 Subaqua Collection Chronograph Watch is an excellent way to get noticed. This deluxe timepiece begins with a round 50mm stainless steel case with a black ion-plated unidirectional bezel and a black protected crown with two pushers. These elements surround a dashing black dial, which is protected by a flame-fusion crystal and features luminous dot hour markers and luminous hands powered by Swiss quartz movement. The dial also features three chronograph sub-dials offering 60-second, 30-minute and 1/10th-of-a-second displays and a date display window between the 4 and 5 'o clock positions. A black silicone band straps this watch to the wrist, while a silver-toned buckle clasp ensures its secure placement. Finally, this watch boasts water resistance up to 330 feet (100 meters). A sporty statement of function and fashion, this Invicta timepiece is speaking loud and clear.

Invicta Men's 1530 Subaqua Collection Chronograph Watch Review

I'll be honest, I've generally opted for mid-range watches and (for me) the idea of buying an extravagant watch geared toward sport is not something that would interest me to the tune of $1295.00 which is the manufacturer's suggested selling price on the Invicta Men's 1530 Subaqua Collection Chronograph watch. However, at a deeply discounted rate (the current sales price that I've encountered both on Amazon and other online retailers is about $250.00), the watch becomes a heck of a lot more practical from a financial standpoint. I had planned to wear the watch not only for water activities, but for casual events as well. But while the piece is handsome and sure to get noticed, it is a bit bulky and heavy for everyday wear. If, however, you are looking for a solid and comprehensive diving piece--this has more than enough features to make it appealing. For the record, I have not utilized the watch in intense underwater situations--but recently, did some snorkeling with it over the holiday.

Packaging: The watch is opulently packaged in an enormous yellow box, plush on the inside and of textured plastic on the exterior. If you are looking for a gift, this makes an impressive presentation.

Appearance: The watch face (a stainless base) is quite thick, it is about two-thirds of an inch to be precise, so the watch will protrude from your wrist and be a focal point. The band is heavy and thick black silicon. On arrival, both the band and the housing box arrived with a prominent "new" smell which dissipated once the watch was being used. The face has a large outer dial, luminous hour markers, three interior chronograph gauges, and a small date window. Amazon has provided pictures of the watch from almost every angle, so you can get a more comprehensive vision by perusing them.

Function Pros:
1. Chronograph features let you track and record time in a number of ways with one for minutes, one for seconds and one for tenths of a second.
2. Dial is luminous, so you can read time just about anywhere.
3. Functions in water depths of up to 330 feet, so fine for casual diving.

Potential Cons (based on your needs/wants/experience):
1. Size and/or weight might be a bit extreme for everyday usage.
2. Instruction manual is geared toward a number of different products, so can be a little overwhelming.
3. Takes some experimentation to maximize the functions that will be of use to you (elapsed time, preset time).
4. Non-discounted price.

Overall:
Anyone that is looking for a serious watch that has style and functionality for diving and/or other water related activities should really appreciate this Invicta watch. It is, however, a little large (for me) to wear otherwise. In that regard, it lacks a bit of the versatility that I might have hoped for. But it's still a great sports watch. KGHarris, 11/11.
