I bought one of these packs before my first deployment. They issued me another one later, but I kept using the one I had bought. Three and a half years as a work pack and three deployments later, other than it being dirty and smelling of Jet fuel, this pack is as awesome as the day I got it. It's hard to find these in the store anymore. Hydration part works great, but I gotta admit, I did not use it that much. While not an internal frame pack, it does have a large ridged plastic plate inside. If you want a large backpack that will take A LOT of abbuse and a Hydro pack to boot, get this guy. It is WELL worth the cash.

KnivesOfAlaska Magnum Alaskan - Suregrip Review

I usually don't order a produt that is listed without a single review, so for me...I felt I was taking a flyer knowing nothing about the seller, nor the manufacturer. I was simply looking for a fixed blade for side carry. Not too big and not too small. A balance of weight and function. I didn't know that much about "Knives of Alaska", but this knife looked like it offered everything I wanted in a lightweight hiking/camping knife.

Well...it is everything as advertised plus much, much more.

Blade came razor sharp in a beautiful leather sheath. I mean RAZOR sharp! The Suregrip is just that... a SURE GRIP. I have no problem giving this knife a solid 5 STARS.

Update: Still love this knife. I guess I was glad to get it delivered for $99.48 (that includes S&H) as I see the seller now jacked the price up to $139.99?!? Lucky me, I guess...but still, this knife is worth $140 but if this were the price before I ordered it (August of 2013), I probably would have passed in it.
