Easton Synergy EQ50 Ice Skates [SENIOR] Review

I'm a free style skater that have been ice skating for over 10 years now. I started off with cheap Bower skates back in late 2001 and thought they were great compared to the rentals! man was i a newbie :)

I then switched to Nike which i liked slightly better than my old Bower. I then moved to Easton around 2005 and i fell in love with their weigh and fit. I moved up a couple of Easton models and thought they were just as good. Now with this one, I was worried because they felt sooo stiff and i felt so unbalanced for the first 30mins of skating. I even thought about returning them, but i can't since i've installed T-blades on them! yeah, i missed that little detail. By the end of my first two hour trial, i was thrilled and I gained almost 90% of my control. I still need a couple more hours to fully break in.

This is my third pair of skates that install T-blades on and I really can't explain how good they feel vs regular blades. It fits me well since I don't actually play Hockey, so i won't be worried about them breaking in the middle of the game, which i assume they would EASILY.

Anyways, i would recommend getting an ankle sports brace and a foot insole to soften the inside of those skates and to absorb some of the impacts. Ofcourse, it's always better to bake them, although on my pair Easton SE-16 White Edition i did not have to do any baking and they fit great.
