I bought this bag at a golf retail outlet, in red/black and at a good price. I've had it for several years (at least 5). I loaded up yesterday, and noticed a golf club handle poking out the bottom of the bag.
There was a 3" diameter hole in the middle of the bottom. I pushed the clubs back in and went golfing. While on the golf cart, another hole formed to one side. I never jam my clubs into the bag or abuse the bag while transporting. Often, I will lower the club about grip deep and then release it to find its way to the bottom. The plastic/fiber bottom was brittle and all but a two inch lip maybe a third of the diameter remained after I pulled at it with my hands.
This bag was my main bag, but I'm not an avid golfer. Playing once a week, during the summer, with the bag stored indoors in between.
I have several cheap bags, stored in the garage, holding all my attempts at buying the next great club. These bags get shoved around and subjected to summer heat with no failures.
Just saying I never expected the bottom to fail. Thought I would lose the bag when it didn't float, after I threw it in the water hazard. :)
