Deluxe platform hitch rack with anti-sway cagesSportRack A1124sp Escape Twin Arm 4 Bike Rack Review
This rack is nice overall. It seems very solid and I like how easy it is to lower the rack to open the rear hatch door. The threaded hitch pin works great to keep the rack/bikes from swaying while driving. I used it on a 1.25" hitch and it felt really sturdy and secure. Now the complaints:
-The rubber holders that strap to the bikes tend to slide. On a recent 1000 mile round trip, the bikes kept sliding toward the back of the rack, which puts more stress on the hitch and the rack. I remedied it by putting some zip ties just behind each strap to keep them from sliding, but it's not really an optimal solution.
-Doesn't work great with small bikes. The spacing between the arms of the rack are a bit wide and don't accomodate a child's bike very well (I made it work, it just looked funny).
