Tactical Katana Samurai Swords #300 Review

This is my first ever katana I bought for myself and I'm very happy with what came in the mail.

I wanted a katana that looked different from a classical katana. The handle looks different, more like a military knife grip. However, the turn off here was that it feels like plastic and I'm sure that it'll turn off other people as well.

The blade is the best part in my opinion. I did my research about 5160 spring steel and found that they are really good material if they are made properly. When I unsheathed this sword I had accidentally cut my finger (pretty retarded, I know) and it bled for a bit. After I laughed it off the pain I started to cut up the packaging it came in. I was able to put a few holes in the box it came in and I was already convinced that this sword was very sharp. For a sword I'd probably never use on a daily basis, maybe cut a few water bottles in the process, this is really good.

The scabbard was another let down though. Again it felt like plastic, but it didn't bother me in the least. I can always buy another that's similar and can fit in better.

Overall, this isn't a bad sword as a first choice! In fact I would recommend it! The plastic parts can be a turn off, but if you feel like cutting up bottles from time to time, this is for you!

If you happen to be caught in a heated battle where your life hinges on your samurai skills and need a blade that could fend off the foot clan, an epic duel with the Shredder, with the ability to save master Splinter and the world as we know it.... this blade probably isn't the best choice.
