I was paying almost 50 a month to keep throwing chemicals in my pool. I could not stop the water from turning green from algae. I emptied half the water out of the pool and filled it back up, then added the suggested amount of salt for my 15x48 and waited. I did have to go out every day for about a week or 2 and rinse out the filter in the pump to take out the algae then after it was gone I didn't have to add any other chemicals. I'm going on 6 months and have not had to add salt or chlorine to the pool. I literally let leaves sit in the bottom of the pool for 2 months during the winter and the water stayed Chrystal clear. I would highly recommend this to everyone.
