We were looking for a Kelty 3500 for our son who is leaving for Afghanistan in Jan. The 3500 was sold out and would not be back in time for before he leaves so he looked at the 3500. We had it sent to his house, and he received it exactly when he was supposed to. After he took it out he told me it was exactly what he needed. It would be making everything so much easier for him to have a backpack that would hold everything safely. My son talked to a lot of friends that have taken Kelty backpacks to Iraq and Afghanistan 2 and 3 times and they are still in great shape so I knew that I did not want anything less for him. I will post back if he tells me anything else.
