I've had my Lamson Guru 4 since 2010, I've fished with it quite frequently in Alaska and now in Australia. I am a poor maintainer of fly fishing goods, and often times don't get the chance to rinse my equipment with freshwater after fishing in the salt. This is mainly due to having children which essentially means I can fish for 2 hours, or fish for one hour and clean my gear for 30 minutes. You can guess which I choose. This reel has an excellent drag system and has landed me a large variety of fish including King Salmon where I actually had to back the drag down for fear of breaking my rod. It is a super smooth reel and is very easy to adjust. This is the ultimate reel for me because I don't have to do anything to it, I just fish. I have yet to have a single issue with this reel that has made me even doubt my purchase of it. This is the second best fly fishing Item I've ever bought, after my Sage rod and it's a close second.
