After buying these I put them on in a tub with 4" of water. After only a couple minutes there was water pouring into the right boot. The left boot also let in water but not enough to pour out once I took them off (unlike the right boot). Amazon is super awesome about returns so I am going to try another pair. If the 2nd pair do not work than I will give up. The back of these boots are even stamped 'waterproof'. I sure hope that is true with the 2nd pair. Stay tuned for a follow up.

Update: I received the replacement pair and performed the same test (albeit with only 3 inches of water in the tub). Both boots stayed dry. Not a drop got inside. Glad I returned the first and tried again. Upgraded from 2 to 4 star as I still need to comfort test these over time and hope they continue to stay dry.
