The J1000 is a low profile (3.5in) aerodynamically designed rack system that can be installed on any Pick-Up Topper & Caps (drilling required). The unique shape of the crossbars minimizes wind noise. The A285 crossbars are reinforced aluminum with channels and can support 400 lbs. Mounting bases are 4in wide made with 11-gauge high strength steel. In total the system weighs in at only 12 lbs.

This rack is the base for my kayak cradles. I mounted it to the roof of a 6' Jason fiberglass topper. I had to slightly bend the feet to follow the roof contour, but I was able to do a perfect job. This really needs an assistant to help with measuring and bolting down. I would recommend the shorter bars on compact truck caps, but there don't present a head-bump hazard. Cool looking rack!
