This is a fine timepiece so far. It's not too big but may be a little large for some and may not have military style for others. Don't know why the criss-cross pattern is needed but it is subtle enough not to be distracting. However, this is the best watch I have owned in 50 yrs. for telling time at a quick glance, just as easily in complete darkness as in daylight. Just as importantly, it has been accurate within a minute each month so far. Don't want to get too carried away but something about the spread/distance between hands, dial #s, etc. make it sort of a pleasure to view in darkness.
