Bike Rassine City Hopper Single Speed Aluminum Folding Bike, 36-Inch Review

First impression of the bike, after giving it a good look, was not so great.

When the package was delivered, the bike was in the folded state, with the chair not set.
There was enough cardboard cushioning the bike on all sides, but I saw that one of the reflectors snapped onto the spoke was broken in half.

The product came with a complementary carrying bag which can be used as a regular backpack while riding, and also to put the folded bike in when on buses, trains, etc.
It also came with a small tool bag that included a small wrench and several other peg-like screwdrivers (L-shaped drivers for screws with the hexagonal indentation in the middle?), a reflector for the back (which I still do not know where to install, and the manual does not have any information on), and a chime/bell.

Generally the product seemed rather cheap, but for the amount I spent, that didn't seem too bad.

The one major problem I discovered when I was setting up the bike was that the seat post's (shaft that adjusts the height of the chair) size was too big!
You could imagine me literally shoving the post into the bike (I even lubricated the post so the insertion would be smoother), and by the time I got it halfway in I immediately regretted even trying, since the process of removing it was worse.
When the post was completely removed it was carved up, with evidence of both the shaft and post scratching each other.
This obviously is a defective part, and that's probably why the seat wasn't pre-set when it came in!

As for the Handle post, the manual shows that the height could be adjusted like the seat, but there were no directions, and it seems impossible to even move the post around.

The manual is extremely vague, only having the table of contents, product's highlighted features, safety precautions, example images of the bike's different states (unfolded, folded, in carrying bag, etc.), illustration of the bike and its parts, a five-step instruction of how to fold the bike (which does not have the best explanations to assist in the process, and also states parts which are not mentioned in the illustration!), another precaution page, and a page for product information and sales record.
All pages seemed to have several grammatical errors, and were worded very "foreign," and definitely did not have enough information to understand what the bike is about.

To summarize what problems I had, they were:
- seat post too big and does not fit accordingly
- handle post does not budge and can not be adjusted
- reflector on spoke was broken
- both tires flat
- several parts on the bike's body were scratched up (very visible marks)
- carrying bag is small for the bike (kind of tight)
- not enough directions and information in the user's manual

UPDATE ON 8/17/13
I went to my local bike repair shop, and the staff helped me with my list of problems.

It turns out the seat post was able to fit with a generous extra amount of lubricant (a ton!) and sort of a forceful insertion.
The staff said it happens often with cheaply made parts.

The handle post was able to be adjusted with a screw that I had to loosen to get it moving, which was NOT mentioned in the instruction manual.

Lastly, the performance on the bike is good, but only having a single speed does make for rigorous work when on inclines or bumpy terrain. Not meant for rides longer than an hour, in my opinion.
The chair seems to be quite tough, so by the end of the day I had a small bruise near my butt and inner thigh (from ~1hr of riding).
I would recommend replacing it with something more comfortable.

Hope this helps anyone that is unsure of purchasing this product!
