The Cressi Aquapro 5 BCD has been completely revised both functionally and aesthetically. The Aquapro 5 is an economically minded BCD, yet has all the features of higher priced buoyancy compensators. The durable 420 Denier Nylon and self draining mesh fabric construction will give years of dependable service. The Aquapro 5 has two unique "gravity" ditch-able weight pockets that are attached to the bellowed zippered accessory pockets with one on either side of the BCD. The weight pockets closures are quick-release impact and corrosion resistant Fastex buckles. Just squeeze the buckles and the weights are released.Each pocket can hold over 6 lbs (3 Kg). The back support is rigid for proper cylinder stability, but is fully padded for comfort. The harness assembly is an independent suspension system that allows the cylinder and the diver to keep proper stability and avoid cylinder shifting on the back, while allowing the BCD's air cell to fully inflate away from the diver not causing restriction or crushing effect as with non-ergonomic designs. Adjustable sternum straps along with both torso adjustment straps are equipped with quick-release buckles. The BCD has three over-pressure relief/dump valves with two located on the left and right shoulders and a third lower valve on the rear right of the air cell. I've had the Aquapro 5 BCD for a couple of months now and have about 15 dives with it so far. BCD came from Prime Scuba. Very good BCD for the price, especially with the integrated weight pockets. I have 6 lbs of soft weights in each pocket, no problem. You can probably fit at least 8 lbs of soft weights in them. It has two large accessory pockets on each side, two steel D-rings on the shoulder straps, and two plastic D-rings on the lower edge of the BCD with an included snap hook ring and hose retainer. BCD is easy to set up and comfortable to wear due to the padding. The material is sturdy and appears to constructed very well. The BCD also is very quick drying due to the self-draining mesh fabric. You could pay a lot more for a BCD with the same features; however, why would you? I definitely recommend this BCD!
