This coat has loads of great pockets, that is good. It is warm, although not so warm that in the dead of winter you wouldn't need to still layer. The pattern is very light in shade compared to other popular patterns. It also has grey designs all over the coat which are strange. The biggest complaint though is that the coat is really frumpy. I am a relatively skinny person and when I wear the coat it looks as though I have a massive belly! I have many coats, all which serve a function. This coat now will be only for taking the dog to the bathroom in the dark late winter nights. It is unattractive, the hood doesn't fit well, it makes me look like i'm pregnant, the cammo is of poor quality, and there are patterns on the coat which defeat the purpose of cammo at all! If it were the apocalypse and no one cared for style the coat, other than the hood, does have functionality.

There are some good qualities to the coat which may be reason to buy, as long as you don't care for style. The coat's functionality is great. There are loads of zippered, secure, pockets that you can stash items in. And the reason I purchased the coat in the first place... it is waterproof. I was in torrential rain during hurricane sandy and I remained dry... for the most part. The hood is a sorry excuse for a hood. The coat is made from great material, but the tailoring sucks. The hood does not sit atop my head; rather it sits several inches above it (un-snugly). Moreover, the hood, when up, is like wearing horse blinders. You can't see anything to the side of you. And unless you have the hood snapped shut to the nines the inside material of the hood gets waterlogged, so you can't half-do the hood (on your head but not snapped shut). This is then an all or nothing coat. I like the kind of hoods that you pull over and they cover your head and as soon as the rain abates you pull off and you're good. This hood is either fully exposed to the elements when back, or fully protected from the elements when up and shut. And when shut your visibility sucks!!!, and you look fat in the coat!!

Purchase this coat if you don't care about how you look, if you don't care about seeing where you are going in a rain/snow storm, or if you don't care that your new cammo jacket isn't really cammo at all because of the other patterns that are all over the coat.
