Traser CODE BLUE Watch TRITIUM Light Source P6508 Review

I've been wearing my Code Blue for about 2 months now. I didn't buy from Amazon (but I wish I had -- it would have been cheaper).

PROs:
- Very light weight. The lightest watch I own, by far.
- Simple and easy-to-read. No distracting subdials or reflective surfaces here.
- Perfect legibility in the dark (more info below).
- Doesn't attract attention or stand out.
- Bezel can be used for simple timing, and feels very solid with nice clicks.
- Great style. This is subjective of course, but I love the no-nonsense look of this watch.

CONs:
- Not everybody will like the strap (nylon?). I liked it. Although I recently swapped it for a Nato which you can buy online for next to nothing. No difference really. There is nothing wrong with the watch's default strap.
- The bezel is a bit too hard to turn. No big deal as I hardly use it. Perhaps it would loosen with regular use?
- Only 30m stated water resistance, so I won't shower in it. This is OK as it means the band doesn't get soaked. I have read on the internet that 200m Luminox watches are the same as these Trasers, and in fact this watch will be fine at deeper depths -- please comment if you can confirm this.

Regarding the TRITIUM LIGHTING ... I had read on the internet that it is disappointingly dim, so I wasn't expecting much. In a dimly-lit room, you can't even really see it glowing ... BUT in the dark (for example, checking the time when you wake up at night) this watch is MORE THAN BRIGHT ENOUGH. The hands and markings glow perfectly, in a beautiful blue colour, and it's an absolute snap to read the time. Perfectly legible, whether stumbling to the bathroom at night, or sitting in a cinema. In fact, I sleep in a very dark bedroom, and I wouldn't want this watch to be any brighter than it already is.

In summary, there is something to be said for a lightweight, silent quartz watch, Swiss-made and keeping great time, which is perfectly legible in ANY lighting conditions and doesn't need to be charged up by the sun, or have a button pressed.

This watch will be glowing the time for many years to come, and I love it.
