The Pop-Up RUKK NET and Mat Attack Golf Mat Package Review

I researched quite a bit before making my purchase on a hitting net. The Rukk Net itself is great, and by itself I would give it 4.5 stars. It literally is less than 20 seconds to put up and take down. I can hit a driver into it (my swing speed is about 105mph and ball speed just under 150mph) and the net will not budge. A lot of people argue that hitting into a net doesn't give you an accurate impression of your ball flight, BUT with the Rukk Net, you do get some feedback based on how the ball kicks back to you with the return feature; a well struck shot will come straight back.

All of that said, I'm very disappointed in the package. I wanted a mat to go with the net and decided to do this package because they were seemingly packaging their Mat Attack with the net at a $10 discount; this is what was shown in all of the product images and their website at the time gave this as their only mat product. The Mat Attack is a slightly higher quality product from what I researched, and while I'd be hesitant to spend $30 without hitting on it, I figured $20 was a bit less of a risk. Sadly, the garbage mat they send me was not the Mat Attack, but rather a glorified piece of green carpet that isn't worth $2, let alone $20. Visiting the Rukk Net website now, you can see they are revamping their mat section and it seems I got the short end of the stick during the transition. The Mat Attack has no product description attached to it on their site now, so I'd assume it is being phased out. Instead, they are advertising the garbage 1x2 mat they sent me for $20, as well as a $200 "roller mat" that is 4x12.

The net itself is now also $20 cheaper only 1 month later, so I'm pretty disappointed that I essentially spent $40 more than I would have in hindsight. I can't really fault them for a price drop when they have other competitors with similar products popping up now. But I would recommend to anyone considering their products to stay far, far away from the mats they are trying to sell. It does a severe dis-service to their brand to associate such a high quality net with the atrocious mat.
