Three Tier Horizontal Rack Dura Bell or Pro Hex Review

I wanted to post a review for this because the only other review was a complaint about the shipper and not the product.

The rack arrived in two separate boxes. Both boxes were in great condition (however they were wrapped so well in tape and tie-downs it took almost as long to unwrap them as it did to put the rack together, haha)

After unpacking the boxes and sorting all the parts, I noticed that the assembly guide was missing.

I Googled for an assembly manual, and couldn't find anything. So, I looked up Hamilton (the maker of the rack) and called their customer support. I wasn't on hold, I was immediately put in touch with someone. I explained the problem and he said he would email me the assembly guide (it never showed up in my email). He did say that it was pretty easy to put together and he could walk me through it.

After waiting a few hours for the assembly guide to show up. I got annoyed and started to look at the pictures to see if I could figure out how to put it together. And the guy on the phone was right, it was pretty easy to assemble if you take the time to play around with the parts and look at a picture online.

I assembled it by myself in about an hour. If I had help, it would have taken probably half that time.

A little recommendation/lesson learned: Do not tighten the bolts all the way down and then move on to the next bar. Loosely tighten the bolts until all three tiers are in place then tighten down. I'm sure most of you are saying "duh".

I would have given this product 5 stars. But here's why I gave it 4 stars:

I have a full set of 5 - 50 pound weights. The rack holds all of them fine, except for the 50's. The bottom rack doesn't fit the 50's perfectly. One weight has to rest on two other weights. Would I send this back because of this? No. It's a minor annoyance. The rack fit perfectly in my personal weight room (spare bedroom) which is why I bought it in the first place. Its small and compact and for the most part can hold a full set of weights. Its also incredibly sturdy. You could probably throw it off a cliff and it would still hold a full set of weights.

For a side note, you can use the box it comes packed in as a matt to place the rack on so you don't damage your floor.
