I have gone through several pairs of sunglasses but they all tend to fog up if I get a good sweat going while running. These sunglasses have vented lenses and the nose piece makes them sit a bit away from your face to help move air around to prevent them from fogging up. I took them out for a 6 mile run and unlike my other sunglasses, I didn't have to continually adjust them or make weird faces to move them around without my hands. I sweat a lot when I run but these sunglasses NEVER fogged up! Amazon sells these for about the same price as anywhere else but I happened to have gift cards which is why I bought them here. Proud to be the first reviewer of these too! These are a good color combination - little bit of yellow on the Oakley logo, blue on the arms and blue lenses. They also come with clear lenses (which I probably won't ever use since these are mainly for running).

Selecting a catcher's mitt is a big deal for a catcher. In addition to functioning as the catcher's glove, it's the catcher's primary method of defense against incoming 75-mile per hour projectiles. This is not the time to skimp or go cheap on materials.

If your kid is a catcher, spend the extra money to get him a glove, helmet, chest protector, leggings and knee savers that will hold up to repeated use and abuse. You are the primary advocate for that young person behind the plate. Give him what he needs to win.

This particular catcher's mitt is built to last, and it has a number of features that make it an excellent purchase for catchers at the youth and high school level. First, the leather is good. Beware of catcher's mitts that seem too "soft" or broken-in when you buy them. That's not necessarily a sign of good leather. The Wilson A2403 is very, very stiff out of the box. Know ahead of time that you will have to break this glove in properly in order to have it ready for spring. Don't buy it with the intent of using it in a game one week later. It will require a lot of pitch-and-catch before it's in peak condition.

Secondly, it has a shallow pocket, which is good when you need to make a quick transition from the mitt to the hand while making a quick throw.

Thirdly, you won't feel much of a sting at all when you catch heat. It absorbs shock really well, because of that good leather.

If your kid is a full-time catcher, and still has many years of catching ahead of him, this is a good investment. It's overkill for children under 10, or kids who do not play in a competitive environment for baseball.

As a catcher's coach, I am very satisfied with this glove and recommend it with enthusiasm to young players.

The binocs function and use.

Pros - Vision is pretty clear. They are water proof (tested this). Easy to use. Adjustment is smooth yet firm.

Cons - The strap that comes with them is cheaply made with small plastic clips that are flimsy and very noisy, you will want to invest in a better strap if you use these for hunting or animal/bird watching. The case has a velcro mechanism for opening and closing, which is very loud. I'm not sure who they were designing that for, but for hunters or nature enthusiasts who do not want to scare away animals, you might want to leave the case behind or find something else to put them in when packing around the wilderness. The rear lens cover is a single molded piece that can only be put back on to the binocs if you adjust them back out, which means you have to readjust them again when you take the covers off, not a good design if you want to use the covers to keep water drops off the lenses when hanging from neck.

The binocs seem to be of good quality in function, but what really puts me off is that these things are made in China and that is not listed in the description. I purposely bought Leupold thinking I was getting an American made product like my scopes, but instead it has a brand on the under belly of these that says made in China. They still seem well made, but I was hoping to support a local work force. After this purchase I looked in to Leupold and saw that they have some items made in China, which is really sad that they are falling into that corporate hole to try to sell cheaper products to turn $$. I don't mind paying the little extra for home made products. I will not be purchasing their items in the future because if you go to their website they brag about how they are an American company making American products and its really only a half truth as they never reveal that they make anything overseas. It's not that I don't buy anything made overseas, but at least if I buy something that says Samsung I know where it's coming from, and in my opinion Leupolds website and advertising is a flat out lie to trick consumers and borders on false advertising.

Columbia Men's Tree Grinder Shell Jacket, Black, Large Review

After way too much time shopping around the internet and comparing features, I chose to order the Columbia "Tree Grinder" jacket over all the other options. I've only had the jacket about a week, but so far, this thing is seriously delivering on every front. Let me tell you some background: I live in one of the top three rainiest cities in the United States. I'm talking over 120+ inches/year. I do not own a car, but commute on my bicycle, everyday. This jacket is 100% WATERPROOF. I took it out of the box, rode down the street, and literally stood in the pouring rain, just to test it out. If any moisture made it through, I would have returned the jacket right away, but my upper half was powder dry. The thick outer fabric is windproof, too. The jacket is loaded with features, like waterproof pockets galore, double zippers in the front, fully adjustable billed hood, adjustable cuffs with extra length at back of hands (which can roll up to create a gutter that diverts water away from hands), ultra-futuristic NASA style reflective inner lining (Omni-Tech)... all kine stuff. I believe the design is geared towards snowboarders, as there is also a powderskirt and buttons to attach to pants. The bottom line is, you absolutely will stay dry in this thing. If I have any gripes, it it is only that breatheability is only so-so with the zippered armpit vents; and because it is a shell jacket, it runs pretty large to accommodate further layering. But, I am talking about wearing a snow jacket in a tropical rainforest climate, so maybe you will appreciate the extra warmth. It never really dips below 60 degrees here, so I haven't had to wear any extra insulating clothes underneath the jacket. The materials are very nice, construction seems much sturdier than some of the Columbia jackets in the lower price range, and the styling is unique. Again, it does run a bit large, in my opinion, but the extra length just means that more of you is shielded from the elements. All in all, a great coat, and I highly recommend it.

DeMarini D243 Pro Maple Composite Baseball Bat - M ( sz. 33, -3 OZ BBCOR Certified ) Review

I have played a lot of baseball and this bat is really a step-up from the traditional wooden bat. If you hit it solid it feels nice and it looks like it has a little more pop (don't expect too much). I really like how this bat flexes a little bit, similar to aluminum composite bats. This is a great bat overall the only reason I give it 4 stars is because the label, that is usually printed in the "weak part" of the bat and it is supossed to face you or face down, is actually printed in the strong part of the bat (where the wood sections connect with each other). At first I did not notice because the barrell is painted completely. Once I hit a couple of balls I could see I was hitting it in the "weak spot".

This is crucial if you want your bat to last. Make sure you are hitting the way you are supossed to hit with a wooden bat. If you don't know what I'm talking about do a little research online.
