This Crimson Trace laser grip sight for the Ruger Mark II/III pistols is a superb accessory for these pistols. It appears to be Mil-Spec in quality and durability. The sight aligns quickly and easily and once you have aligned the laser to the front sight, and tested it at the range, you will likely never again need to adjust the laser alighnment. It is great fun to fire one's pistol and see the bullet strike right where the laser was pointed. Laser sights of this kind are a wonderful addition to firearm technology and Crimson Trace is the leader.

The Crimson Trace grip-mounted laser concept is the most ergonomic way to mount a laser. A tight, deliberate squeeze before firing and the laser activates. The grip feels very natural and comfortable in the hands. The laser is bright enough for use at tactical distances even in bright sunlight, and at any reasonable range in lesser light, i.e. indoor range, cloudy day, dusk, etc.

One minor nit: the allen wrench (they supply two) used to adjust the laser alignment is SMALL!!. They give you one to store in the grip and one in the range bag. I do not know why Crimson Trace decided to use such a small allen wrench; it always makes me nervous using such small wrenches for fear of stripping the allen screw. This has not been a problem, however. By the way, CT's website states that they will supply the user with replacement wrenches at no charge. This is consistent with CT's reputation of superb customer support and service.

ShelterLogic 10x20 1-3/8" 8-Leg Canopy with Extension Kit (White) Review

This 10x20 canopy with extensions is a versatile shelter for outdoor gatherings. I used it for an all-day event and adjusted as the event changed.

First we had guest speakers which I set up under a separate 10x10 against the 10' end of this unit and used its entire space for seating. You can fit 4 chairs under the extension and another 2 into the main area on each side which gives you a total of 12 seats in a row with a center aisle. With 7 rows we had 84 seats in the 20x24 extended space. We could have cut 8 seats and fit everyone under this canopy. Next, we set up tables for kid's activities. Using 6' long tables, we easily fit 6 into four activity stations. Finally, when it got windy we dropped one side to shield the area and still had everything covered.

First time out of the box (ONE 117 pound box!) it took me, alone, about four hours to set up. Three hours of that was fixing pipes deformed in shipping which didn't quite fit together. Also, a couple of the "swedged" pipe ends had to have paint filed off to fit together... and they're still together standing in the corner of my garage. I believe the pipes fitting together tightly contributes to the sturdiness of the structure, but some are a pain to work with.

There were some moderate wind gusts the day I had this canopy up. The main section held solid, but the extensions flapped a bit. Even though I had the ropes as tight as I could get them, the flapping broke three of the rope tensioners. These are very difficult to adjust anyway configured as shown in the directions. I'm going to take them off and learn how to tie a proper knot for the application.

One last thing... I'm about 6'2" and my hair rubs when I stand under the extensions. That's a little annoying. The main section is comfortable and the peak is about as high as I can reach standing on a chair. If ShelterLogic works out a couple small issues, they'll have an excellent product! I hope they ship it in two boxes.
